Setting up a fun welcome sign on the front door as an impact when guests first arrived.
Keeping the theme simple with Asian inspired décor, bright colors and bamboo patterns.
Sticking with paper lanterns, fans, and lots of candles as the main decor elements.
Using an existing bookshelf as a wine and Sake bar in the TV room area.

The main activity of the evening was sushi rolling! The dining room table was set so that each place setting had its own plate, rolling mat, soy sauce cup, and hand-washing bowl. Then all the fillings for the sushi went in the middle of the table.
A side buffet was used for additional menu items like fried rice and chicken lettuce wraps. Luckily, one of the gusts taught everyone how to roll sushi! (If you do not have someone who knows how, you can also pull up a video on YouTube to show your guests.)
This party turned out so fun and the guests had a great time, myself included. I had never rolled my own sushi before – it was delicious!
