3 Budget Friendly Boho Wedding Design Ideas

The Boho trend is totally my vibe. I could live in this natural flowy style my whole life. I feel like it evokes a “no stress” attitude which I am all for. And it draws on the beautiful aspects of nature, which is pretty much my favorite thing to do. In this blog post, I have complied 3 of my top suggestions for budget friendly Boho Wedding design. Scroll on through for some of my secrets and how I help my Breezy Bride clients plan their weddings.

Tip 1: Choose a natural color scheme

Meaning, choose a color scheme that is derived from nature. This may end up being neutral or bright tones. But instead of trying to create your own color scheme (which is super hard by the way), choose something Mother Nature has already deemed beautiful. When have you ever thought that the sunset didn’t look right or that the ocean was ugly? Probably never.

There are tons of color schemes already available on Pinterest for free. My three favorite search phrases right now are: “Boho color schemes”, “color schemes from nature”, and “natural color schemes”.

Tip 2: Create a mood board

One of the first things I do with my Breezy Bride clients is create a mood board for them. After we have chatted about the overall vision, I am able to put together a cohesive design visual. The mood board helps ground a lot of the design decisions and keeps everyone on the same page. If it matches the mood board, it will look great in the wedding!

Knowing your design style up front will help you make the right decisions when buying things and talking to vendors. Keep your mood board saved on your phone. This will end up saving you the stress of second guessing purchases or wasting money on things you ultimately don’t use.

Tip 3: Use what is already here!

Whether you are having a celebration inside or outside, try to be resourceful with nature. I absolutely love this ceremony “arch” setup from Flamming. It’s a perfect example of taking the opportunity to use this gorgeous tree as a backdrop instead of buying something new and its perfectly Boho!

Or incorporate natural touches into your reception. Seashells as escort cards from Martha Stewart Wedding – yes please! Am I suggesting you find 100 seashells? Well kind of! Or at least finding what you can over the summer at your favorite beach and supplementing if you need to. Then everyone has a beautiful sea shell to take home that will forever remind them of your wedding.

There are SO many ways to be creative, thoughtful and save money. I love figuring these things out for my Breezy Brides. It’s one of my favorite parts about wedding planning; infusing a couple’s story within their design while staying creative with the budget.

If you are a Boho nature lover like me and happen to be planning a wedding, you should check out my virtual planning package, the Breezy Bride. Together we figure out all of the details, the design, and how to stay budget conscious!

Cheers!
